Sachsenring race track
The race track Sachsenring in Saxony is one of the oldest in Germany: the first motorcycle race took place back in 1927. The circuit is the traditional venue for the German Grand Prix, however, a lot of other great racing events are held here every year, attracting thousands of spectators from all over the world.
The Sachsenring is a route that requires special control over the motorcycle, as left turns prevail over the right ones. The race is situated in Hohenstein-Ernstthal that is 100 km away from Dresden and about 150 km away from Leipzig.
Sachsenring is the shortest track in the World Championship – its length is just 3 671 meters.
