Beaches of Djerba Island, Tunisia

Djerba is an island with a subtropical climate located off the southern coast of Tunisia. Most of the famous local beaches stretch along the northeastern coast of the island and their total coastline counts several kilometers. There is a variety of bars, restaurants, beach clubs, water parks, and hotels here. Diving is very popular, and, if you are interested, there are several diving centers where you can learn to dive a little deeper beneath the waves. All beaches are with white sand and clean, warm water, as well as with a gentle entrance to the water, which is ideal for lovers of a relaxing beach holiday and families with small children.

On the west coast, away from the tourist area, there is another beach, Cheikh Yahya. It is quite secluded – a real oasis of tranquillity. This beach boasts white sands, clear blue waters, and beautiful sunsets amidst palm trees and the sea.
