Trafoi Ski Resort, Italy

Trafoi Ski Resort (or Furkel) is located in the Ortles Region, province of Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy. The small winter resort in the Italian Alps with an excellent location in the Venosta Valley offers 300 days of sunshine a year and a magnificent natural landscape without the hustle and bustle of the big ski resorts. Here, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the well-groomed slopes for skiing and snowboarding of this ski paradise, a selection of other winter activities: tobogganing, winter hiking trails, as well as panoramic views of Ortler. 

The ski area of Trafoi is located at an altitude of approximately 1540 to 2550 m above sea level, 10 km of ski slopes of various difficulty levels (10% of them are difficult, 50% — intermediate, 40% — easy), and long runs up to 3.5 km are available here. The resort has 4 ski lifts of various types.

Skiing lessons for children and adults, as well as instructors for individual ski lessons, are available in Trafoi ski school.

The nearest airports are Innsbruck Airport (156 km) and Milan Bergamo Airport (Orio al Serio International Airport, 253 km). The nearest town (as well as a train station) is Merano (61 km).
