Beach of Wineglass Bay, Tasmania

Wineglass Bay is located on the east coast of Tasmania, in the protected area of Freycinet National Park. Its beautiful curving beach with white sand and bright blue water is one of Australia's most photographed areas. The coast of the bay, surrounded by a low dune with dense green vegetation, has the shape of a crescent moon.

To get to the beach, you can use the waterway, and get the water taxi from Coles Bay. Another option, more popular, is getting there on foot. It will take you around 2 hours to walk from the parking lot at Freycinet National Park to the beach. This includes going up to the observation deck, where you can admire the stunning beauty of the bay, and then going down with 1000 steps of stairs, which is surrounded by boulders and eucalyptus forest. A visit to Wineglass Bay and its wild, almost magical beauty leaves such a strong impression, that unforgettable memories about this journey are guaranteed.

Tasmania's East Coast offers a variety of accommodation options close to Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay, so you can see first-hand one of those rare places, definitely worth visiting.
