St. Anton Ski Resort, Austria
The popular St. Anton Ski Resort is located in the Arlberg massif, Tyrolean Alps, Austria. Part of the legendary Ski Arlberg with fully interlinked ski areas, this winter resort boasts an endless variety of pistes and a major attraction – some of the best world's après-ski parties.
The resort is set next to the cosy, authentic village of St. Anton am Arlberg, full of history related to the development of skiing (in 1901, the first ski club in the Alps was begun here).
The ski area of St. Anton is located at an altitude of approximately 1304 to 2811 m above sea level. The total areas of Ski Arlberg offer 302 km of ski slopes of various difficulty levels (17% of them are difficult, 40% – intermediate, 43% – easy). The resort has 88 modern ski lifts of various types (17 of them are located in St. Anton).
The resort is set in one of the snowiest corners of the Alps and therefore stands out for its deep reliable snowpack, as well as incredible off-piste, modern lift infrastructure, and stunning mountain views. St. Anton is traditionally linked with St. Christoph (the ski training centre is located here) and Stuben, and in 2016/17 four new gondolas were built, linking St. Anton with ski resorts of Lech and Zürs.
The first-class resort offers something to satisfy all the ambitious winter sports enthusiasts: the famous «Run of Fame» (an 85 km trail and an excellent ski tour to explore the surrounding area of Arlberg), many slopes for skiing and snowboarding, a variety of ski trails for professionals and beginners, the amusement park, and, of course, excellent post-piste parties.
The nearest airports are Innsbruck Airport (95 km), Zurich Airport (200 km), and Munich Airport (226 km). The railway station of St. Anton am Arlberg allows easy access to the resort from all over Europe.
