Sportgastein Ski Resort, Austria
The Sportgastein Ski Resort is located 100 km south of Salzburg, Austria. This highest ski area with a reliable snowpack is a part of Gastein Ski Resort and offers excellent ski runs that will especially appeal to athletes, advanced skiers, freeride, and off-piste skiers.
The ski area of Sportgastein is located at an altitude of approximately 1590 to 2650 m above sea level. A total of 18.2 km of perfectly groomed trails are available here (8% of them are difficult, 73% – intermediate, and 19% – easy). The resorts have 3 ski lifts.
Sportgastein is an excellent choice for all lovers of alpine skiing, freeriding, as well as magnificent mountain panoramas: nearby the terminal of the Goldbergbahn, there is a legendary glass-aluminum dome, where you can have breakfast while enjoying the breathtaking view of 400 surrounding Alpine peaks (the maximum number of participants is 12 people).
