Spiaggia di Porto Badisco, Otranto

Spiaggia di Porto Badisco is located in a small bay on the Adriatic coast near Otranto, in Apulia, the eastern region of Italy. 

This cozy bay with crystal clear waters, about 500 meters wide, is surrounded by oleanders, olive trees, and palm trees. The coast is mostly rocky, but there is a stretch of the beach where you can easily enter the water. There are no strong currents here, so the place is great for a family beach holiday. Here you can rent umbrellas, sun loungers, pedalos, and canoes. Nearby there is a restaurant with a terrace serving Italian cuisine and local seafood.

Under these rocks, is the pearl of the area, the famous Grotta dei Cervi, with caves and underground passages from the Neolithic era. There is a legend according to which this beautiful place was once visited by Aeneas, the Trojan hero, during his famous sea wanderings.

Porto Badisco is a unique and popular place, especially in summer; here, among other things, you will find one of the most interesting hiking trails.
