Koukounaries Beach, Skiathos
Koukounaries Beach is located on the southwestern side of Skiathos Island, Greece. It is a long beach with soft golden sand and is known as one of the best in Greece. It is surrounded by a large pine forest, the trees reaching the shore, providing large areas of shade. Right behind the forest is a protected area with Lake Strofilia, where you can walk and meet rare bird species.
Koukounaries Beach is well organized, there are many sun loungers and umbrellas, the shallow bottom with crystal clear water is perfect for bathing even the smallest children.
Around the beach, there are many stalls, beach bars, and taverns. In addition, the beach offers a wide variety of water sports: water skiing, sea bike, banana boat, windsurfing, scuba diving, there is a diving school.
Here it is easy to get by absolutely any means of transport, water, and land, including a bus from Skiathos town, which departs every 30 minutes.
