Tamariu Beach

Tamariu Beach (or Platja de Tamariu) — the beach in the area Costa Brava, in northern Spain. The beach got its name from the special Tamarisk trees that grow in abundance here. This is one of the most sheltered bays in this area, with fine sand and calm shallow water, which is very good for families with children. The length of the coastline is about 160 m.

It has everything you need for a great beach holiday – including showers and public toilets, lifeguard service, and boat rental. There is also a sailing school located in this area.

Platja de Tamariu is an urban beach, so there are many hotels, restaurants and bars in proximity. It also has a blue parking area and paid car parks nearby.

The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag for its cleanliness and services.
