Beaches of Cadaqués, Costa Brava
Cadaqués is a city in northeastern Spain and the pearl of the Costa Brava, the landscapes of which inspired Salvador Dalí. Cadaqués and the surrounding peninsula the Cap de Creus has many picturesque beaches and secluded coves with calm crystal clear waters.
Platja Gran is the city's most central and family-friendly beach. In summer, it can be quite crowded, as it is small, with a length of about 200 m. There is a promenade near the beach with many bars and restaurants.
Platjas des Llané Gran and des Llané Petit is a two-part beach, here is the coastline with coarse sand and pebbles. This is the place where Salvador Dalí and his family have enjoyed their summers for many years.
Further south is the charming Platja des Sortell with great views of Cadaqués. There is a little bridge that takes you to the small island of Es Sortell and its observation deck.
The southernmost beach on the west side of the bay is Platja de Sa Conca. This is a rocky beach with waters that are deep right by the coast, so there is a boat rental service available. It is located away from the city center and is often visited by nudists. There are no beach services here, but there is a bar located nearby.
On the eastern side of the bay, the first after the central Platja Gran is the small beach Es Pianc, loved for its close location to the center, good bars nearby, and beautiful sunsets.
Further south are Playa de Ses Oliveres and Playa de El Ros. Located opposite each other, they occupy one bay. The highlight of this place is the kayak rentals and the excellent restaurant just at the border of the sea serving tapas and fish dishes. Playa de El Ros is suitable for families with children as the waters are shallow here.
The southernmost on the eastern side of the bay are Platja Confitera and Platja De S'Aranella. Two beaches with sand and pebbles – two small treasures set away from the crowded city, little and cozy.
All the beaches of the city are easily accessible on foot or by car.
