Châtel Ski Resort, France

Châtel Ski Resort is located in the east of France, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and is part of the world-famous international Portes du Soleil Ski Resort. Châtel is a great resort for families and beginners, as well as for advanced skiers.

Châtel Ski Resort offers modern ski lifts, a variety of groomed ski slopes, and a great choice of freeride terrain and off-piste options, as well as ice skating, toboggan, snowboarding, and of course lively après-ski.

The ski area is located at an altitude of approximately 1250 to 2100 m above sea level, 83 km of ski slopes of various difficulty levels are available (12% of them are difficult, 35% – intermediate, 53% – easy), and long runs up to 10 km. The resort has 56 ski lifts of various types.

Châtel is a charming village in the French Alps located close to the Swiss border, and the only cross-border pass in Portes du Soleil Ski Resort. In the centre of the village, as well as near the ski lifts, you will find ski and snowboard rentals.

The closest airport to the resort is Geneva International Airport. From the airport, you can get to Châtel Ski Resort by private transfer or by public transport.
