Famara is a 4-km-long beach with yellow sand, located in the northwestern bay on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands. This beach perfectly suits for practicing different water sports, such as surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and bodyboarding. 

This spot is famous for constant winds, strong currents, and oncoming waves. Thanks to good winds and waves, Lanzarote mostly attracts experienced surfers, not swimming vacationers. There are also no usual sun loungers and umbrellas here.

You can find a surf school and several restaurants on the western side of the beach.
